We went fishing at the Sunset Marina on the Mississippi. Lew called Ken and they chatted for a while. He he Ken had a really good bite and missed it cause he was a chatting. He later caught an alligator gar though.

Here I am with Ken to my Left and Gene to my right. Didn’t catch a thing that day unless you count the chair that I found earlier that morning at Mill Creek. I did get a lot of good photos that day and had a whole lot of fun.

We always do when we all get together.

Ken gave me a new pole; it is an open face and I practiced with it. I love it; Its so easy to cast goes so much farther and reels back in like a breeze. Yup I am hooked on open face reels now.

Gene and I are going to slowly swap out our reels.  Speaking of My Honey here is a photo of him doing his usual showing off for the camera what a ham he is.

Here is Annette waiting for another cat. She caught two that day. But sis isn’t feeling good at all; she is having stomach trouble and in a lot of pain but will NOT give up her weekend fishing for nothing LOL Got to love her determination.

Check this out. Hubby and I went fishing Saturday all day we caught bass,alligator gar, dog fish, and northern pike.

The Northern Pike we didn’t know what it was LOL we were like a couple of city folk. looking over the fence down on this huge 2 1/2 3 foot fish  laying on the bank with teeth snapping. We’re saying what the Blank is that? Hubby says: I don’t know if I want to go down there and get it. LOL we decide to go ahead and get it. Hubby gets the net and the thing starts to roll and snap the line breaks and whoosh its gone. We start laughing and can’t believe our reaction to this fish and then it hits me. I have my digital camera in my pocket. Did I take a pic of this thing. NO… Heck we didn’t even know what it was till the game warden told us it was a northern pike and showed us a pic of one.

Later hubby caught this aligator gar. Yup I took a photo this time. It’s just a small one but fun to catch none the less. Oh and buy this time we put a steel leader on the lines.

Now you get to see what I look like 133 pounds lighter. With a nasty sunburn but I don’t care. Look at those flapping wings.

Last Friday night Ken went fishing over by his house at mill creek. This is what he caught.

Here is my baby brother. We are at the canal over by my house blue-gill fishing. We probably should not have gone due the the heat index being so high but what the heck we still had a lot of fun.

Ken caught a few blue gill and I caught one tiny little one that would have been good bait.

Heck even the fish were staying in the shady water. The canal isn’t very deep over by me. Some places are only about a foot deep. But you still see the cat and carp in that shallow stuff.

I am really enjoying being able to spend a lot of time with my brother. Love you Kenny.
